Some examples of how we can do this are below:
- Making claims for Housing Benefit. If you live in Birmingham: www.birmingham.gov.uk. If you live in Dudley: www.dudley.gov.uk If you live in another Local Authority area visit their website and follow the links to the benefits pages.
- Offering advice on Welfare Benefits i.e. Job Seekers Allowance: www.direct.gov.uk
- Money advice. You can contact National Debt free helpline: www.nationaldebtline.co.uk or Consumer Credit Counselling Service: www.cccs.co.uk.
- Payment options, such as setting up Direct Debits, click here for more information.
- Go through your finances with you to reach a fair payment arrangement and provide advice on the legal position with your home such as possession and Court processes.(link to Trident’s rent payment service)
- If you would like independent advice on debt or housing problems or you do not wish to access Trident’s services you can also contact the Citizen’s Advice Bureau who provide advice and guidance on a variety of issues. You can find your local branch at: www.citizensadvice.org.uk.
Rent Difficulties
If you are having difficulties paying your rent and would like to discuss your rent account with us, we are keen to meet with you to see how we can help.
We will do everything we can to help keep you in your home, but you need to work with us, so we can properly assist you with your arrears and any other debts.
