Trident Group announces new Chair

 

Trident Group today confirmed the appointment of a new Chair of the Board.

Andy Ballard was confirmed as the new Chair of the Board following the Group’s AGM last night, Monday, 26 September 2016.

Retiring Chair, Abigail Robson said:

“I am delighted to be welcoming Andy Ballard as the new Chair. I am confident that Andy will be able to offer a broad range of skills and experience that will ensure that the board is equipped to deal with challenges presented and continue the ongoing work with the regulators.”

John Morris, Trident Group Chief Executive said:

“I welcome the board’s appointment of Andy Ballard as the new Chair and look forward to working with both Andy and the board in improving Trident’s offering in the communities in which we serve.”

Biography details of the new Chair:

Andy Ballard, a qualified solicitor has over 30 years’ experience in the housing sector and holds various Non-Executive appointments. Andy’s main areas of work and expertise are advising on matters of governance and strategy, regulation, mergers and group structures, and restructuring. He has also completed a number of complex and sensitive investigations.

In addition, Andy has expertise in mentoring senior colleagues, people matters and is a part-time lecturer at the University of Gloucestershire.

Trident Board’s retiring chair Abigail Robson was appointed to the board in 2002, and as Chair from 2015. Abigail will officially retire from the Board on 31 March 2017.
