Trident's submission was an outright win for the organisation in the Equality and Diversity Award catagory at the 'Business In The Community Awards' ceremony at the Belgrade Theatre, Coventry on 23 June 2009.

The award is a formal recognition of companies who pursue and promote equality and diversity in their policies, procedures and practices, and who inspire others to take action in these areas.

Trident's nomination, along with a host of others from across the West Midlands, was presented to a panel of judges for scrutiny, who were looking for evidence of how organisations tackled equality and diversity across their whole business.

The panel were also looking for the winning organisation to demonstrate:

- A 'real zeal' in the development and execution of equality and diversity related products, services and solutions.

- Clearly defined vision and goals.

- Strongly developed business cases.

- Senior level commitment and engagement with internal and external stakeholders.

-Evaluation and impact of work implemented.
