What is Scrutiny?
Scrutiny is an important role for residents to undertake, which aims to ensure that you receive high quality services that are relevant to your needs and demonstrate value for money. Scrutiny adds an entirely new dimension to Tridents’ decision making process by examining and questioning the decisions taken Trident Group. It investigates the key issues impacting on our service delivery and makes recommendation for improvements to current arrangements. Scrutiny allows residents to:
- Influence service standards
- Monitored and benchmark our performance
- Make suggestions for improvement that feed into service improvement plans
- Measure our progress & direction of travel (in relation to improvement plans)
- Scrutinise, challenge and hold us to account
The Scrutiny Panel
The Trident Scrutiny Panel was formed in late 2009. The Panel devised and co-ordinated a range of training courses to develop their capacity to scrutinise Trident services and performance. The Panel commenced their first review on Access and Communication in February 2010 and reported their findings back to the Housing Board in October 2010. The final report will be available shortly.
