Older People

Changing demographics mean that people are living longer. That translates into a need for accommodation that enables the elderly to not live alone, but to continue living with their life partners or their carers. Single people and couples are not the only consideration. There is a need for family accommodation, with requirements for several bedrooms.

Every relationship we have with the people we encounter has a very real effect on how much we get out of our lives. That is as true for the relationship you have with your neighbour or the man at the corner shop, as it is for the relationship with someone you love. What is more, it applies to everyone - service provider and service user alike. That is why it is vital that we take time to understand the individual needs of the person whom we are supporting. By developing meaningful relationships with our service users we can learn to maximise their potential for change and recovery and make a real difference to someone's life.

Trident Housing Association supports a wide-ranging group of service users. In our sheltered housing schemes we can deliver 24-hour domicillary support for older people to meet personal care needs. We also provide sheltered housing for some ethnic minority groups who require certain culture specific services.
